We’re the type of family that plans lunch while we’re eating breakfast. And an afternoon snack while we’re eating lunch. And dinner during snack. Cooking has always been central to our life here at the orchard but now that the baby of the family is nearly two, the pace in the kitchen has slowed just enough to reclaim the tiniest […]
Although we’re closed at the orchard for 2015, you can still find our hard cider at plenty of places around town.
I need to be careful that I don’t preface every orchard update this fall with, “I can’t believe how early such and such apple variety is” because it will be true, every week. We had Thanksgiving with friends a little early this year so we could test out the theory that our Northern Spy hard cider would be a good match for the Thanksgiving table. Ours was a classic menu with a minor twist: vegetarians were among us so in addition to the standard turkey, we also had two vegetarian […]
Because we sold out of hard cider, we won’t be open at the orchard for the rest of the 2014 apple season; however, you’ll still be able to find our apples, sweet cider, and hard cider around town: Apples Apples will be available at the Kingfield Farmers Market through the end of October. Sweet Cider […]
