Did you know that there’s a celebration of cider that takes place annually in Minneapolis? This week it runs from June 1-6 and it will be the biggest Minnesota celebration of cider yet!
We’ll be participating all week long. On Monday, Mike will be part of the cider maker panel at the Town Hall Tap. That event includes the cider maker from Milk & Honey, Adam Theiss, who also brews beer at Indeed. The third speaker on the panel is from Woodchuck. The meal plus cider and the seminar is $50 and you can reserve a spot by calling the Town Hall Tap at (612) 767-7307.
Wednesday is the bowling tournament at Town Hall Lanes. The tourney starts at 6:00. We have a great bowling team lined up. Care to join us? Call Town Hall Lanes at (612) 767-3354 to reserve a spot. $25 gets you two games, appetizers, and bowling glory. Anyone on our team who wears a pantsuit earns a bottle of cider from us.
On Friday, we’ll be pouring samples at Stinson Wine, Beer and Spirits in northeast Minneapolis from 4:00 to 6:00 and then at 6:00 we’ll head over to Republic Seven Corners for a cider class. This class is free, but call (612) 338-6146 to reserve your spot.
On Saturday we’ll be sampling at Elevated Beer, Wine, and Spirits from 3:0 0 to 5:00. Saturday also hosts the biggest event and a heck of a deal too: $27.25 gets you unlimited cider. The list of cideries includes us, Milk & Honey, Wyndfall, Keepsake, Yellow Belly, Julian, Two Towns, Maiden Rock, Aspall, and Farnum Hill. The Fest takes place at Town Hall and Republic patios at Seven Corners; you can find us at Republic. What a day! Cross your fingers for sunny skies.
