We’re so happy to be open this weekend on Saturday, May 6 for apple blossoms. We regret the delay in making the announcement, but it’s always tricky to predict when the trees will be in blossom. In fact, we might be open a day next weekend too, depending on the nature of the warm-up toward the end of this week and how fast the blossoms move along. We love giving folks a chance to see an orchard at a time other than the fall, and to see the orchard in blossom is just a gift. Feel free to come down around 9 or 10 and we’ll wrap up our day around 4 or 5.
We’ll be low-key this Saturday, as usual. No donuts this weekend, but we’ll have a few items for purchase: farm bread and Shepherd’s Way cheeses for your orchard picnics; freshly harvested rhubarb; our usual selection of ciders; and one unusual cider we call “Cuban Garden Party.” (If you remember that one from last year, it’s the one with lots of lime and a hint of mint.)
We’d also appreciate your palates as we’ll be tasting a few ciders that are on the drawing board for us and are purely in experimental mode at the moment.
Please feel free to bring your own picnic and your cameras, and to enjoy the orchard in bloom. We hope it’s a relaxing time for you and we look forward to visiting.
