Sweetland Orchard Thanksgiving Orders

All Sweetland Orchard Thanksgiving orders will be delivered to the Twin Cities metro area on Sunday, November 19. Delivery is $10 or free with a $100 purchase. This package is available only within the specified delivery area. Orders accepted through end-of-day on Friday, November 17 or until sold out. Orders to CSA members will be dropped off at the usual drop-off site.

Everyone knows that the pro move at Thanksgiving is to have someone else make your pie. Who better for that job than Vikings & Goddesses, our caramel apple hand pie supplier since 2021.

This pie will be made from a very special apple — Calville Blanc d’Hiver — an heirloom culinary French variety. Those babies are going to get caramelized, poured into a flaky crust, and topped with a crumble. Given the liberal use of Hope Creamery butter in the crust and toppings, this pie is definitely not vegan.

The pie will come to you frozen and so you will not only reap the benefits of a pie that someone else prepared for you, but you will enjoy the added benefit of the luscious aroma it generates while baking in your oven.

Order fresh eating apples, baking apples, or the at-home Thanksgiving apple tasting kit which includes labeled apple samples and tasting notes. The tasting kit will include at least ten apple varieties, among them Golden Russet, Arkansas Black, Black Oxford, Winter Banana, Bramtot, Keepsake, Northern Spy, and GoldRush.

Pie apples will be a selection of apple varieties well-suited for pie or crisp. Eating apples will be a selection of varieties glorious for fresh eating — and good keepers too.

Late-season fresh-pressed cider is the most delicious fresh-pressed cider. Our Thanksgiving blend is mostly Haralson and Cortland. We heat-pasteurize it to the minimum time and temp to retain full flavor.
